The Fundamentals of Quranic Arabic

And We have certainly made the Quran easy to understand. So is there anyone who will be mindful?

This course will serve as a first-step primer for students who have never studied Arabic before and are looking for a solid foundation. Students will be introduced to foundational concepts and principles of the Arabic language and will learn how to identify them in the Qur'an. Students will practice these concepts in drills and exercises so that when they encounter them in the Qur’an, they are able to better translate and understand what they are reading.

Here are some of the topics that will be covered:

  • Pronouns

  • Past Tense Verb Conjugation

  • Present Tense Verb Conjugation

  • Three States of Nouns (I’rab)

  • Prepositions and Other Filling Words

  • Reasons for the States of Nouns (I’rab)

This course is open for both online and in-person registration. Tuition is $100.

The only prerequisite to this course is being able to read the Qur’an. There are no exams. The notes and booklet will be uploaded into the portal.
